You need to first add a footer to your report, then you can just can copy/paste your subtotal expression.

To do this you need to right click outside the report area and select "Add Page Footer".

But I need the footer to be associated with the group. The group is on a field called Location and I want the header and footer for each location. I will try clicking out side the report area and see if it give me an option to add the footer to the group. I am still trying to get used to the look and feel of 2008.

The association with the group is going to take place in the scope of your subtotal expression, not exactly in the Footer.

I started a new version from scratch and this time I did not use the wizard and choose not to use an exploding subtotal. This secnd verison works. Thanks for the tips.
