Can someone please give me step by step instructions on how to configure outlook anywhere in Exchange 2010?  Also, what ports do I need open on the firewall for the service to work correctly?  Lastly will this allow me to sync my phone with the Exchange account?  If not, what additional steps do I need to take?

Hey there. Have you seen these:
http://exchangeserverpro.com/how-to-configure-exchange-server-2010-outlook-anywhere

if you have Pre-Outlook 2007: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchange2010/thread/e9f9672e-d025-4783-9725-194a9f6550fd/

For your phone, it's best to get an exchange capable smart phone (iPhone, Android, Windows Phone, etc) and make sure that ActiveSync is enabled on your exchange server. This feature (http://www.microsoft.com/exchange/en-us/mobile-email-with-exchange-activesync.aspx) can be configured by following this article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998357.aspx

It would appear that ActiveSync is enable and mobile devices can access Exchange accounts by default in Exchange 2010; but you may want to review the concepts for configuring the finer details.
