how to install and configure LAMP for ubuntu server

Dearn Experts:

I have to setup a LAMP server on ubuntu server 10.4 for the CRM implementation this is one of the major pre-requistes around 400 users will be accessing this CRM application but i have doubt that is while installing the UBUNTU server can install LAMP by selecting the LAMP is this recommended or should complete the ubuntu server installation after that should install LAMP, please suggest me the best or receommended practice. Thanks in advance.

Sir, Thanks for the reply. While installing the ubuntu server itself the  LAMP installation is possible. since my requirement is for LAMP server can i install this for the production server or manually installing the LAMP is receommended please suggest.

I would install the server and get it working first.  then I would do a manual install of LAMP following the link posted by theGhost.

"Automatically" always scares me because you aren't always sure what it is doing.
