Error -2147221219 Occurs When You Run the Export-Mailbox Cmdlet on Exchange 2010

Hi everyone,

When try to export an user mailbox with Exchange 2010 Export-Mailbox Cmdlet I get the error below. I googled it but not able to find a solution. You may see the whole error message below:

PS: Some identifiers have been renamed because of security issues...

You may not have permission to Export this mailbox or having Outlook Mapi issues.

In my case I would normally give full access to all the mailbox to the admin account and run export cmdlet. Once done I would remove it.

BTW, I forgot to mention, if you are trying to export just a one user, you can try exporting through user's outlook..

Thx for the answer, I've already tired fixmapi but unfotunetly didn't work for me. Also I've already gave manage and send as permissions to user administrator for xxx mailbox.

Is there an easy way to give full acess permissions for all mailboxes in organization to administrator user...? Cause this is a production exchage server, and all mailboxes moved from previous exchange 2003. I'm pretty sure it's permission related problem but unable to understand the situation.

Any ideas?

In the outlook, it also gives some errors, but you may copy inbox and many subfolders one-by-one. I've already copied the mailbox manually. I'm trying the resolve my cmdlet problem, not trying to copy a mailbox... And it gives the same error for any other individual mailbox. So has to be fixed...

THE SOLUTION BELOW WORKED FOR ME...

Got the the flowing workaround from Microsoft PSS and Import/Export-mailbox cmdlet is working

In adsiedit brows to the database where the mbx (where you want to import/export the mailbox)
Properties of the mbx database:

Select system account
Grant the following permission to the system account and restart information store service.

• Read
• Administer information store
• Allow Impersonation to Personal Exchange…
• Create named properties in the information store
• Open mail send queue
• Receive as
• Send as
• View information store status
