change title field to more than 64 characters

hi all,

Is there a way to modify the limitation of 64 characters in Title attribute in AD under organization tab ? we have some titles with 80 characters long.

I was getting ready to test because I think it is 128 but someone has already tested.  My friend Santhosh did here

You can make it longer if you go into adsiedit.

Man I can imagine those titles :)

i'm on windows 2003 server.
I was able to enter 86 characters title via ADSIEdit but can not save.

A value for the attribute was not in the acceptable range of values.

I'm on 2008 can used a 128 character (screenone) that worked when I added one more character I get the error.  Don't have a 2003 box to test on here right now

my bad did not make it clear that this is for windows 2003.

According to MS, the rangeUpper for title for windows 2003 is 64.

based on Microsoft docs windows 2003 only support up 64 characters
