Hello,

Our accounting department has been running reports for audit. They have ran in to a snag where they can't use the reports they are running because they have no way of importing them to the auditing software. We are looking for some software, a virtual printer, that will allow us to print to file, specifically print to .CSV, .txt file, or even ASCII.

I'm looking for a Windows (PC or Server) solution.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Microsoft has a "Generic Text Only" printer driver.  See if you can install it in the Add Printer dialog.  If so, you can just tell it to print to file.

Thanks for the advise. I found a software that would allow me to setup a virtual printer:

http://www.filebuzz.com/fileinfo/36816/Miraplacid_Text_Driver_Terminal_Edition.html

Miraplacid Text Driver extracts text from documents. Format text output as plain or formatted text, preview and save to a file, copy to Clipboard, upload to a server or email. Use it for importing text from unsupported document formats.
