SqlServer Exception

When i am trying to run the SP from asp.net, i am getting the below error.

INSERT failed because the following SET options have incorrect settings: 'ARITHABORT'. Verify that SET options are correct for use with indexed views and/or indexes on computed columns and/or filtered indexes and/or query notifications and/or XML data type methods and/or spatial index operations.

Can i please know the reason for the issue.....................

This problem is occurred when you attempts to insert a row into a table that is referenced in an indexed view.

This is normally an issue with newer API's calling into older databases. An easy way around this is to configure the compatibility of the SQL Server to at least 2005:
ALTER DATABASE YourDatabaseName SET COMPATIBILITY_LEVEL = 90

If we change the compatibility level it will effect the remaining procedures. They may not work properly. We can use this, it works for me.
ALTER DATABASE YourDatabaseName SET ARITHABORT ON
