Exchange 2010--Combining Hub and Mailbox Roles

Is there an advantage of combing Hub Transport and Mailbox Roles together instead of the more common CAS/HT roles? (Especially if the mailbox server is part of a DAG?) Might Shadow Redundancy be reason? Your thoughts please.

how much traffic you expect ?

there are approx 10,000 users, avg mailbox size of 2 GB. Some users have 10 GB mailbox sizes.
