Double-Take (Vision Solutions) RecoverNOW & High Availability with Amazon Cloud

We currently have a production environment with 20 servers in a hosted vmware cloud. Everything is working great. We are looking at using DoubleTake RecoverNow to replicate all servers to another cloud environment. This would require us building out a repository server in another cloud. Every agent with DoubleTake RecoverNow will replicate to the repository server. If we have a disaster, from there we would turn on VM's and from our repository restore the data to those VM's.

My questions is, will Amazon do this? Is there other cloud environments you can recommend that are based off pay per use? Looking for options & ideas.. Thanks!!

I guess the easiest solution is using their cloud service:
http://www.visionsolutions.com/Products/DT-Cloud.aspx

which is also hosted on the amazon EC2 platform, as stated in this article http://blog.visionsolutions.com/blog/bid/63147/Do-you-have-a-Disaster-Recovery-plan-for-your-Cloud-infrastructure-by-Mike-Talon earlier this year.

Setting up your own repository server might also be possible, but I do not think the administrational costs are reasonable towards the gained security enhancements.

I have looked at DoubleTake cloud, and talked with the sales rep.. They say to do our own thing instead of use theirs! We want the ability to grow it and add our clients to it and be profitable with it. Doesnt look like it would happen with the DoubleTake Cloud solution..

Does anyone know of a cloud company that offers on demand custom sized servers with custom storage as well? I want to be able to add at any time..??
