I'm in Outlook 2007 and viewing an additional mailbox.  Is there a way I can leave all items I open/select as unread just for the additional mailbox?

You can select them all (CTRL-A), right-click and then 'Mark as Unread'.

Please note, if you have replied or forwarded the Email, then the icon will change even if you mark as unread.  The other option would be to create a rule which forwards a copy of all the Emails to a folder or something like that, then you could do what you like with the copy without it affecting the original version.
