Basic Cake question

i've created a "view" template using cake. I understand that in order to get the template to render in my local browser, I have to build a controller file. The view file is called error.ctp and just has some basic HTML - does anyone know how to build a basic controller to view this file?

What's exactly what you intend to do with that error.ctp view? Cakephp comes with a lot of default error views located at "/cake/libs/view/errors", and more than needing a controller, you need a controller AND an action (an action called error)

If what you are looking for is to style cake's flashing messages you should look at the default.ctp layout
