My attached code works...but...

It dials the outside number but the extension doesn't ring until the outside number called gets picked up.

Tested this with my cell number
Dim outnumber As String = 9998887777
        Dim extension As String = 1026
        Dim action As Asterisk.NET.Manager.Action.OriginateAction = New Asterisk.NET.Manager.Action.OriginateAction
        action.Exten = extension
        action.Channel = "Local/" & outnumber & "@from-internal"
        action.Context = "from-internal"

        action.Priority = 1
        action.CallerId = ""
        action.Timeout = 30000

The channel is where the call is being placed from and the extension is where it will be placed to.

If you flip around your extension and outnumber it will do it reverse of what you have now.  Then you should have the internal extension ring first and when you pick it up the call will be dialed out to the outside number and you will hear the ringing.

I would imagine this is what you are looking for.  Originate always dials the channel first then connects it to the extension.  As you have found out it works both directions.

First time I used the AMI I had the same issue.
