Meeting reminders not working in Exchange/Outlook

I have Exchange 2007 and Outlook 2007 in a Windows 2008 domain.  About a week ago, I started getting complaints that meeting reminders were not working for some users.  I have tried the /cleanreminders and the /cleanfreebusy commands, but neither worked.  I moved the mailbox from one server to a second server and the reminders started working.  About 2 days later they stopped working again for the same user.  When I try OWA, the reminders work.
The only thing that has really changed in my environment, is that I have added a 3rd Exchange 2010 server into the mix, but that was about a month ago and this problem never appeared until about a week ago.

Hi,

As you mentioned it works correctly in owa, then try to create new outlook profile with out cached mode and see if that fix the issue? if yes then OST is corrupted

I do not have cashed mode on.  In fact I have disabled cashed mode in my entire domin using Group Policy.
Hi,

Please follow this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/286166, as you ran clean reminders and cleanfreebusy, you need to try using resetfolders switch as mentioned in the above KB
Also have a look into this link: http://www.help4it.co.uk/home-mainmenu-1/inside-track/outlook-2007-reminder-not-working.html

I have used the resetfolders switch and it never fixed the problem.

I then tried the MAPI editor and deleted the reminders folder and then issued the outlook /resetfolders switch again and the reminders are still not working.

Any other ideas.
Hi,

As you mentioned issue with some users, did you compare the outlook version and hotfixes installed with the succesfully getting reminders users PC?

Regards,
KrishnaManoj K
I only have a few (5 or 6) computers with the issue, so far.  I am running a WSUS server so I am assuming that my versions/hotfixes are consistant...I will verify and post.

Thanks Krishnamanoj83 you found the solution for this:

I followed your link to the 2553028 KB article.  It talked about the  KB article 2544404 patch causing the issue.  I looked on my PC's that were having the issue and that hotfix was not installed.   However the description of the issue matched.  I assumed that the problem was caused by another MS hotfix.  I downloaded and installed the officekb2553028fullfilex86glb anyway and it fixed the problem.
