I am sure its been asked, but what is a goo free Revision Control software for .Net and cross platform C++ programming.   Hopefully easy to maintain, implement and learn.

SubVersion and Git are the two that seem to be most popular among my colleagues.  Google those terms and you'll find some good answers.
