DFS With Active Directory Site with no Server

I have a network with 2 servers running Windows Server 2008 R2 using DFS for folder redirection. I also have several computers connected via a SSTP VPN. The problem is that the VPN clients are in their own site and do not have a server assigned to them when users are connected remotely they are connecting to the DFS server at the remote site which means that access to files is slow as they have to go over 2 VPN links.

How do i assign the DFS server that is in the main site as the server for users to connect to remotely?

Any help is greatly appreciated

I suppose you could add the specific dfs share in the login script, or put it in a batch file the users copuld run:

Net use \\servername\sharename (servername\sharename being the actual DFS root server).

For examle:
Site 1 has \\server1\Share1
Site 2 has \\Server2\Share2

which are both replicated via DFS.

For a user in site 2, run  Net Use L: \\Server2\Share2
