How to limk the users to a pecific desk top in GPO

Hi All,

I have create a new OU under our users container. Created a new GPO and assigned a user to this GPO. Made all the required changes including redirecting the user to a pecific shared folder on the network. Granted the user r/w permisions in both the shared and the nfs permissions.

Can not get the gpo to redirect to the desk top. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

it is teh second tab under teh properties od the desktop folder re-directoin GPO

There is a little check box under "Settings" you may have to check log in, uncheck and log in again.  soudns silly I now but it does work

"Grant user exclusive right to desktop"
"move contents of dekstop to new location"
if you're doing this on a 2008 or 2008 R3 sevrer and you have XP you need to do
"Aplly re-direction policy....."

also be sure to select the second Radio button on the bottom

:Move data to local user profile when policy is removed" (or something similar to that)
