OpenVPN - Unable to obtain session ID

Hello,  We have OpenVPN running and I have some users receiving the following message.

Unable to obtain session ID from "":443: XML-RPC:None.

Other people are working fine.  I have tried to uninstall and re-install the client (ver. 1.5.6) but that does not work.  Also when uninstalling the client I see that it does not fully install because when I re-install some of the original settings are there such as the server in the dropdown section.

Any ideas?

Which OpenVPN solution do you use? Access Server, or free Community edition? I cannot remember having seen anything you described, including the version number of the client.

    Accepted Solution

We use Access Server.   We ended up rebuilding the server.

Did not get to the root cause.  Rebuilding was more of a work around.
