Scanning barcodes with Safari on an iPhone
I have created a website on our internal network that allows us to edit a few products details from our iPhones.
The VPN connects the user via 3G to our network and then we bring up Safari to search the stock database.
I want to find out if there is a way that we can scan barcodes from within Safari so that we can scan the code in rather that typing in barcodes or descriptions manually.
I know there are already barcode apps for free for the iPhone but I cant see how to launch them so that they are available in the safari app.
In safari we have a search box and it would be good to launch the barcode scanner from there.
Any Thoughts?
