No there are no errors popping up, the link simply seems to vanish when re-loading the powerpoint document.

ok you can save as both file as new names and remove the sensitve data and post !! always easier to work on a problem to troubleshoot then to work on assumtive problem !!! By any chance you have any VBA running in htese 2 files wether Excel or the ppt ??? maybe there is some code that is interveening and dleeting the links causing the trouble ???<br />

From this I produced a power point presentation which gives an overall status of the project using some of these graphs, and these are linked. So updating the raw data in Excel updates graphs and tables in Powerpoint, which is fine. <br />

However after closing the documents, opening them 'Update links Confirmed' the graphs stay linked no problem, however the table in the presentation loses its link and I am not sure why. I have to re-create the link every time I close and open powerpoint, which is quite strange. Am I missing something simple here?<br />
