I'm intent to set a server so user could connect via SSH for file upload/download.

You can also look at
http://sourceforge.net/projects/sshwindows/
http://www.itefix.no/i2/copssh

Both are ways  to setup a minimal cygwin for openssh usage.

However I personally used a full blown cygwin install on my XP machines, thus have no personal experience with above links.

I misunderstood the question (didn't notice the 'd' in the software names).  I provided client links.

Is SecureCrt Freeware (as requested in the initial question)?

I thought it is payware, but perhaps I misunderstood their site.

Hi All,

Thanks for the help/guide
Windows XP
Windows XP

Microsoft Windows XP is the sixth release of the NT series of operating systems, and was the first to be marketed in a variety of editions: XP Home and XP Professional, designed for business and power users. The advanced features in XP Professional are generally disabled in Home Edition, but are there and can be activated. There were two 64-bit editions, an embedded edition and a tablet edition.
