How can I create a new index for my Oracle Pipelined Table Functions select statement

How can I create a new index for my Oracle Pipelined Table Functions select statement

For example this select statment is retriving 49 rows in one column but i need to create another column showing the number of each row every time I run the select

SELECT "COLUMN_VALUE" FROM TABLE(cast(read_bulk_channel(17400505,'MD')AS NumberTable));


I want to be able to do this !!

new_col      col1
1                 234
2                567
3                567
4                 444
5                666

    If you have no specific order just add rownum:

    SELECT rownum new_col, "COLUMN_VALUE" FROM TABLE(cast(read_bulk_channel(17400505,'MD')AS NumberTable));
