Customising MSI files
I need to customise an MSI file for redeployment via Group Policy
Are there tools which allow you to "record" the MSI files with your preferences as you install and then save these settings as opposed to using suites like ORCA which involve manually editing.
Can someone please direct me how to achieve of best tool to use?

what you are talking about is basically a differential snapshot of a computer before and after the installation of an MSI file. I have attempted this in the past with marginal results at best. The problem with repacking an MSI this way is that you will undoubtedly capture additional data that you do not want.
The tool i used to do this was called WinstallLE

I would reccomend going about this installation a different way other than repackaging. Possibly a computer startup script or possibly even a psexec installation where you could specify your command line switches. In my history this method just works better than repackaging.
