Computer Network Performance tools or utilities ?

We are a small business company with around 40 computers and 2 servers.
The computers are spread across the building .

Is there any tool or utility which I can download and install on the server and it can
run some ping tests to the rest of all the PC's in the network and give the results.

And based on the results I can see which PC's in the network are taking time. Then I will figure if its because of any cabling or network switches or the distance from the PC to server causing this issue.

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

http://www.pingplotter.com/featurecomp.html is pretty good, have a look and see which version meets your needs best..

A bit more info would also be handy, are you wanting a windows/linux utility, do you want it webbased etc...

 We have all windows computers.

Any utility is fine, as long as it gives us more info- to find the bottle necks in the performance.

There are some others that do much more, which I think you need more than just a "ping check"

Both of the following are excellent tools, I have used both and could not find fault with either, for ease of use I could suggest whatsupgold should your budget allow.

If your budget will allow go for :

if not I have just happened across http://www.colasoft.com/

Looks like a nice tool, the video is a bit cheesy but gives a nice overview...
