DBCA

I installed oracle 11gr2 on a linux

dbca does not start.

LISTENER is running

but https//host/em/console/aboutApplication

internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Define 'doesn't start'. Does it appear to run but never display? Does it immediately return to the command prompt?

Make sure your display is set properly. Does xclock run?

Is this related to DBCA not running?

try this only ..

https//host/em

< dbca does not start
try xclock on the command line, if you do not get any response then you should make your client ready for graphical display.

I entered teh ip instead of hostname it worked.
