Need to change the iPhone 4 name for LAN Personal Hotspot purposes

We need to change the iPhone name so when activating the Personal Hotspot it would ne be too obvious whose iPhone is available.

We understand that we can setup the hotspot with complex password, but the problem is that each iPhone has the name of the owner and we want to keep the owners with not too obvious names when connected.

Ok we see it.  Does that have any negative effect on the apps downloaded or iTunes configuration? That is the backups, restore or that iTunes may not Identify the device.
Nope.

It worked and in itunesit changed the name.

Prior closing the question we want to assure the dvice name in the iPhone is changed; is there a way to the actual device name within the iPhone, not iTunes?
As far as I know, the only way to change the phone's name is from iTunes, but the name you give the phone in iTunes is the name it will use to identify itself on wireless networks.

But is there a way to see the actual device name within the iPhone, not via iTunes?
Not that I can think of.

Found it... just FYI for users seeing this question:

2 ways of knowing if iPhone device name changes successfully:

1. goto iPhone device, Settings, General, About, see at top
2. connect to wifi and look at the connection in the router, it should appear.
Gah, you're right!  I looked there, but missed it!
