Connect to Windows and print local with iPhone

Hi,

as I've no iPhone I hope to get some help here:
There's a server that allow remote access (RDP, VNC),
A client (iPhone) should connect to this server and print local (also a portable printer for iPhone is needed) from a server application.
With a windows RDP isn't a problem for sure but I know less about the iPhone.

What client software for the iPhone can do that (I found: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/2x-client/id401103105?mt=8) ?
What is a good portable printer for the iPhone toi use with?
Maybe there's also a solution for Andoid?

Thanks

Andre

If the printer supports Air Print you will not need any extra software on the iPhone (or iPad). Here's a list of supported printers:

I don't know about Android.

No extra software for printing do you mean?
Or do you mean that RDP is also supportet native?

Thanks

It will probably not work with RDP since iOS (the iPhone firmware) does not support any other printers than the ones that support "Air Print".

But there is hope: iOS version 5 is expected tomorrow -according to rumors websites- or later this month, and there is a chance the print features will be improved.

Even where iOS supports printing, apps will need to support it too.
