Thanks.  Do you any reason why after I went through these instructions, on the ipad when I setup for exchange and type all my credentials it goes to verify my account and it just sit there (I am doing this from internal network)?
Run the exchange Connectivity test and test your Outlook Anywhere (RPC over HTTP)

Hi,

I am not going outside, this is all internal, I am trying to get it working internally first.
Typically this is based off of external settings.

Do you have the correct DNS settings in the IP address the iPad is getting?
If not, it will not be able to resolve the internal name and would explain why it is just "sitting" there.
Yes.  I can reach or OWA correctly using the name not IP address so I am thinking the DNS is working fine.
By any chance do you the SSL in IIS for Microsoft-Server-ActiveSync needs to be?

I finally got through the Activation issue by NOT requiring SSL and Client Certificate to ignore.  But I still can not get mail on the ipad.
You needed to choose accept from the iPad, otherwise it won't connect.
Delete and re-create the mail acount and when prompted, accept the cert.
It really never ask me to accept the certificate from the ipad.
