VSTO 3.0 in visual studio 2008

i have an excel addin project originally created to work with excel 2007, but once i upgraded to excel 2010, now i can't even load the project.  if i run the excel file as a stand alone app, none of the buttons now work.

    you could open the files, copy the code fragments, open a new excel 2010 spreadsheet and paste the code in corresponding modules.
    Then check the correct working of the code fragments line-by-line by stepwise executing them.

    When correct working has been verified, save the spreadsheet as an excel 2010 add-in. When the code gives errors or you need specific help, please post the sections that give problems here.

    An excel add-in regularly is made in excel, where does visual studio comes in ?
