Just to double-check, did you run Gpresult from an elevated (a.k.a. admin privileges) command prompt?

    Accepted Solution

To elaborate a bit more, when I use that command I ensure that I have an elevated command prompt and typically utilize the following syntax:

    gpresult /user username  /h GroupPolicy.html

You cant even do the ipconfig /registerdns when the elevated command prompt is not opened. Use the elevated command to see the results. As per Run5k's comment he is absolutely right.

use the command gpresult /user username /h GroupPolicy.html to view the results.

    Good Luck..!!

Thanks Run5k that was the issue.  What I did was removed UAC and it worked for me without doing a run as.
