when I try to restore from my backup I get:
"the media has 2 media families but only 1 are provided. all members must be provided"
Listheader shows I backed up the MDF, LDF and FT.
I really did only backup to 1 file,
Help, this is a 15 GB bak file already transferred form a remote system.

Sounds like you did a backup, then another to the same filename. I don't know a way around this...

    Accepted Solution

No, I did one backup to one file.
OR I thought I did,  I had added a backup file to the destination, highlighted and thought the backup would go to that ONE file,  Wrong!
It goes to all the files in the destination window,  No matter what is highlighted.
Looking at the script showed me the problem.
Oh, to fix.  go back to the backup window and locate the other files as listed int the destination window.
