the database MSDB is marked suspect by recovery Error: 926 in SQL2005 server

I am getting the error in SQL 2005 server. Please help.

    Accepted Solution

    Try recreating MSDB database

    1. Detach the msdb database to do this run Sqlserver as below
    go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Binn\

    start sqlservr.exe -c -T3608

    2. Move the msdb files msdbdata.mdf and msdblog.ldf from C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Data to some other location

    3. Run the instmsdb.sql script from C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Install

    4. restart sql server in normal mode.

    1. Stop the SQL Server database & services

    2. Rename or move the "msdblog.ldf" & "msdbdata.mdf" files

    2. Copy "msdblog.ldf & msdbdata.mdf" files from any other working database installation to the same path

    3. Start the SQL Server database
