How to create a googleDocs template

Dear Expert:

There are some templates at docs.google.com/templates. My company wants to create some templates in there. So, how can I create a template and publish in this directory ?

you can create a template by simply creating a document and saving it as template.

Here's how you can submit/publish them: http://docs.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=148818 however you need to have the paid google apps version for this to work.

Thank you.

But I have to upload more than 500 documents (templates). I have read about the API, it seems possible to upload all documents by using a program, however, I think they should be saved as a template manually document by document. So I wonder if I can use API for saving documents as templates.

Yes, I had already found this link. But as you say, it seems about upload documents, not to convert to templates.

So, as you say, could I send these files to google support ? How ?

You can contact google support trough http://www.google.com/support/a/bin/static.py?page=contacting_support.html and ask if they can do this, I don't knowif they can!
