"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi,

To start with, is this computer a part of a domain? And if it is, does it have access to the domain?

Also, please try booting the computer in Clean boot mode to make sure there isnt any 3rd party applications causing issues:

Look which programs are in Autostart, one of them might be messing with the login process (f.e. teamviewer if you have no internet connection or something similar).
