Dist groups - Upgrade Ex 03 to 10 - cannot remove members using EMC
Just finished putting in our first 2010 server on the network. Things are going fine, just coming across the little bits.
I need to remove a member from a Distribution List.
I went into EMC, found the list, clicked the Members tab. However, the red 'X' is greyed-out and I can't remove the member.
Researched a bit, found some info on 'Upgrading' distribution lists. I followed the procedure to upgrade the list (no problem). However, the 'X' is still unavailable. Note: the 'Membership Approval' tab used to be all greyed out, but now all those options are avail.
What do I have to do to allow me (the administrator) to remove members from a DL on the 2010 EMC?
Thanks,
TN

Have you tried to use Shell to remove the members:
Remove-DistributionGroupMember -Identity "Marketing Managers" -Member adam@contoso.com

I was able to solve the issue myself by converting the groups to Universal groups.
Hope this helps!!!
