How to access Project Server 2010 PWA site from outiside

I have done the External Access mapping but it only opens the home page, not the PWA page

How do I map it so it opens say http://project.domainname.com/pwa/default.aspx when I type that address manually from outside the network it doesn't work

Thank you

did you add host header in IIS?

hrishikeshdCommented:
start project application service

piotrmikula108Author Commented:
no I didn't not add the host header in IIS, I added project.domainname.com to the SharePoint - 80 website (correct?) - no change yet

project application service has been running all the time as I can access everything internally OK

hrishikeshdCommented:
no need to add host header.
 Please remove
Since everything is working fine internally, I assume some firewall issue

Hi piotrmikula108,

AADM.. I dont know this but maybe its ment AAM (Alternate Access Mapping). I Guess you already have setted up AAM correctly. If not, here is a small guide true:
Video
or
About AAM
and
Configure AAM for ProjectServer

After this you should review your AAM Config.

Another Tip: It may help to have a DNS Alias configured for your internal URL's and you need to enter the URL in the Hosts file with the correct IP Adress of the server. This should solve your problems.

All the best for this
Cheers
Thomas
