Dell 2900 The raid controller firmware & driver validation was not performed. The configuration is out of date or corrupt

Our Power Edge 2900 is getting the error on boot up of "The raid controller firmware & driver validation was not performed. The configuration is out of date or corrupt.  c:\program files (x86)\dell\sysmgt\sm\cfg.  Controller 0 (SAS 6/iR integrated.

How do I fix it?

Per: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/software/svradmin/2.2/en/SNMP/snmpc25.htm

"Cause: Storage Management is unable to determine whether the system has the minimum required versions of the RAID controller firmware and drivers. This situation has occurred because a configuration file is unreadable or missing data. The configuration file may be corrupted."

I would suggest downloading and installing the newest version of Dell OpenManage server administrator then the newest driver and firmware

ASKER

There are a lot of choices for the downloads can you help with what you think I need?  I have the latest OpenManage
firmware 00.25.47.00.06.22.03.00
Driver 1.28.03.01
Storport driver 6.1.7601.17577

I got the latest BIOS  (i hope) but when I tried to run it , I got the message "program could not collect the BIOS version"
Also how do you boot to dos?  I tried boot sequence but it was not a choice.
These packages you can run from Windows, no need to boot to DOS. Can you please let me know what operating system you are running and if it is 32 or 64 bit please before running the links I previously provided.
2008 64
Thanks.  I'll post after all are complete
Then 1st link states it cannot be run under this operating system.
just to verify see attachment

I get "the program could not collect the BIOS version"
Try right clicking and run as administrator. If that does not work you may need to update to a lower version then to the newest version.
I'm rebooting.  How critical is this error?
I updated the SAS firmware even though it stated it was the same version.  When I rebooted the error was gone.  So just to be sure I rebooted again.  It is back.  Do I need to get this fixed ASAP or can it wait.  I'd like to go home.

It is a non-critical issue, it could wait until tomorrow. I would give Dell a call tomorrow (800) 456-3355 even if your server is not under warranty they will help.
Thanks.  I'll keep you posted

Should I not award the points, because the help didn't fix it or should I award it to the post to call Dell?
I would suggest hitting the request attention button and they can advise.
ok
Thanks
