CSS Question + HREF

Hi All - I'm having a mental brain fart - How do I do the css for a href
I tried .name a { }  and it didn't seem to do anything.

  <div class="name">
    <a href="/?q=user/29" title="View user profile.">lindseyc</a>  </div>

Thanks!

.name a:link {color: #009900;}
.name a:visited {color: #999999;}
.name a:hover {color: #333333;}
.name a:focus {color: #333333;}
.name a:active {color: #009900;}

should work. see:

(almost at bottom page) hope this helps.
