uninstalling Symantec Endpoint Protection 11 from the server.

I was asked to remove Symantec Endpoint Protection 11 from windows server 2003.  Due to an issue with it.  the antivirus software is creating a whole bunch of infected temporary files.

and a process call Dwhwizrd.exe  was taking a substantial amount of memory on the server and it was slowing everything down throughout the network.  We Notice that the quarantine folder was overloaded and we empty out the folder remotely.  And that seems to help the issue but the problem came back a couple days later.   I read on the Internet that this problem might be related to corrupt virus definitions.

But unfortunately I'm not sure how to repair the issue.  and they would like me to uninstall the program from the server and reinstall it.   Please advise the best way to do this.
As I have never reinstall this program before.

The following outlines the procedure but are you certain the server is not infected in some way if the Quarantine folder is filling up?
