"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

sorry i don't understand your question.
please give more detail on your issue

Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) was created to avoid link loops in network.
please read about:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spanning_Tree_Protocol
If you can be sure that you can't have loops in your network, you can disable spanning tree in your switch else let it enable.
Caution : always use "PortFast STP" or "Rapid STP" version of STP ( = 802.1W) rather old STP (801.D) which is too slow.
