SQL Server Expert Interview Questions

I'm looking at recruiting a SQL Server expert to join my team.  I want someone who can take ownership of our existing database, design a whole load of new tables, views, procedures etc for our current phase of development as well as help to optimize and improve the existing product.
SSIS skills are important.

I want someone who is better skilled than myself or anyone else in my team, therefore can you suggest any interview questions that I can use to determine if the person I'm interviewing is genuinely good?
