DT Registers Slow loading issues on SLOW Joomla site.
I have terrible slowness and page loading issues with DT Register. To add a record thru the control panel takes 6 minutes - 3 of those minutes are waiting for the page to load.
Querying against the Jos_DTRegister tables thru PHPMyadmin - SQL2Excel is SLOW and causes CPU\Process utilization to kill MySQL and thus, the entire joomla site suffers.
Anyone have the knowledge\expertise to help troubleshoot this?
How can I assist my web developer in finding root causes such as underpowered server, bad server configuration (on Verio VPS), table index problems. This will lead to consulting work as the Joomla template is clunky and needs to be replaced + migrate the site off of Verio.
Please let me know what info you need to do some basic troubleshooting.

when something takes 6 minutes there's usually a connection issue. For instance, maybe there's a ping-response conversation that never ends. It's hard to know without doing the troubleshooting.
