JQUERY UI TABS NO PRELOAD FIRST TAB

Hello,

I have several jqueruyi tabs loading remote content :
<li><a href="page1.html">bla bla bla</a></li>
<li><a href="page2.html">xxxxxxx </a></li>

where page1.html and page2.html have the remote content.

I load the tabs with :
$(function() {
      // *** Ajax load
      $( "#tabs" ).tabs({
      });
});

I use a simple :

$("#tabs").tabs("select" , 1);

to initially load the page on the second tab. It works OK but my problem is that I realized that the first tab is still loaded, even if this does not show. This is a big problem because the corresponding page has treatments.
So the question is how not to hiddenly load the first tab as this is done ?
Thanks for help
