Hi,

i am trying to perform refresh for the database, i am getting issues with

10/05/11 10:20:02: Last Restore point is PS_AFTER_EOD_20111004_0405
Last Log at Primary is 25059279739
10/05/11 10:20:02: About to restore database to last flash point and start recover

STARTUP MOUNT FORCE;

FLASHBACK DATABASE TO RESTORE POINT

ALTER DATABASE CONVERT TO PHYSICAL STANDBY;

Are the recent archived redo logs from the primary database available to the standby databse server?

i am unable to create guarantee resore point
below is the error..

SQL> create restore point G_PS_20111004_05 guarantee flashback database;
create restore point G_PS_20111004_05 guarantee flashback database

That makes it look like the main problem is:

ORA-38788: More standby database recovery is needed

We have to do a lot of guessing.  We don't know what happened in your standby database prior to this.  Was it working as expected for some time?  If yes, did someone intentionally stop applying the archived redo logs there?  If yes, when, why, how?

How are the archived redo log files normally transferred from your primary to the standby?

the archived redo logs are generate as expected, but it has been stoped yesterday for some time and then started archiveing again, so what i have to do now can anyone help me i am unable to figure it out from morning please.

If the standby was down for some time, then it is possible that some archive logs need to be manually registered with the standby.

when i rebuilding the database it is taking lvl0 backups and it is not taking lvl1 and arch backups. so can any one tell me the command how to do it.

i used the


duplicate target database to standby dorecover

then it got resolved
