Exch 2007 mailbox move to Exch 2010

Tried to move a user from Exch 2007 to Exch 2010.

The mailbox move failed, so I cleared the move request, ran a clean-mailboxdatabase command on both originating and destination server.  The get-mailbox user | fl shows everything pointing to the originating server.

However, when I try opening Outllook I get a generic "Can't communicate with Exchange - contact administrator" message, when I try OWA I get:

Log in failed because the mailbox you tried to access is being moved. The mailbox cannot be accessed until this operation is complete. Please wait and try again later.

I'm assuming something hasn't replicated in AD that clears this mailbox in transit attribute, but it's been over 4 hours now and still no access.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I am thinking the best thing to do is to install the latest update SP and update rollup to the 2010 box and the 2007 box, reboot both servers and try the move again,

Maybe you can try to create another database on the same exchange 2007 server and move mailbox from original database to new one. In that case parameters of mailbox should be rewritten to the new value.

Tried moving between two databases on the 2007 server, got the following error:

"Errors was found for user because: Error occurred in the step: Opening soucre mailbox.  Failed to open mailbox with error:  The operation failed., error code: -1056749262"

Which I am assuming is because the mailbox attribute still says it is being moved.

Maybe this one could help you (disconnected mailbox, homeMDB field):

Update Rollup 4 applied to Exchange 2010 seemed to be the catalyst.  Once I upgraded the 2007 to the latest revision all works as expected.
