sharepoint problem with product/patch installation or server upgrade

Posted on 2011-10-05

I am running sharepoint foundations 2010 and under the error messages,  I get the following: "product/atch installation or server upgrade required".  When I clicked on it, I get the following formation (see attached),(error 1).
Then when i click on the link that takes me to the details, it comes up and it's telling me that there's no updates (error 2).  So I'm lost why that error comes up.
How do I fix this? sharepointinstallerror.doc

Run the SharePoint Config Wizard or PSConfig on ZION, and then see if the Error goes away. :)

    Accepted Solution

After running the Config Wizard / PSconfig, try reanalyzing the error and see if it goes away as well.

Also, you've probably already seen this, but here is the TechNet description on that rule:

The command I ran from your other post did the trick, it solved it.
