"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Is this just for display in the report?

Crystal has a REPLACE function

Replace ({YourStringToCorrect","BadCharacters","GoodCharacters")

If you need to save the string for later use you can use it as

WhilePrintingRecords;
Global StringVar strCorrected;
strCorrected := Replace ({YourStringToCorrect","BadCharacters","GoodCharacters");

If you are trying to correct it in the database then Crystal is not the tool to use.

Sorry I did not specify.  YES, it is only a display field in the report.  I will try your suggestions and let you know.

Thanks
