I have a need for a semi Real Time web connection.

Specifically, customers make reservations for a service on line. A company person (dispatcher) is monitoring the reservations from a page being viewed in his browser.

All the reservation info is stored in a MySQL database on the web server.

We want to update the dispatcher view every so often (say every 5 minutes) with revised content resulting from customer reservations happening.

What is the technology to do this & can you provide links with examples? Is this RSS or ??

Thanks
