Can the Find tool in Excel be used to find values created by formulas ?

I have an Excel worksheet in which the values in a column are created with a formula, for example,    ="INV" & A3 & B3
So the result might be INV478X (where 478 is in cell A3 and X is in cell B3

However, when I click on the Find/Replace icon and enter INV478X as search text it comes back with the message that the item can't be found.

Does Find not work when cells contain formulas ?

Yes.  In the find options, select a search of values rather than formulas.
