I am taking over working on a server from a previous tech that installed the wrong version of exchange. It has exchange 2007 on it and I am trying to put 2010 on it. The server is a 2008 std<br />

I have ran the uninstaller file, gone thru removing all the databases, went into adsi edit and deleted the exchange folder, went into the registry to remove any entries having to do with exchange (cause the uninstaller would not remove itself from the add/remote programs), and also renamed the exchange folder in the c:\program files\ms<br />

But when I run the installer for 2010, it gives me that error in the subject of this thread. A previous version of exchange server is already installed on this machine.<br />

How do I get it to stop doing this and let me install 2010? Thanks!
