Get GUID from Active Directory Using Asp.net

I have a VB ASP.Net web application, in which the user logs in via Active Directory. I am looking to retrieve the GUID from the logged in user using asp.net VB. I am lost in retrieving the GUID; I am not sure if it is possible. Do I have to get the username first and then do a lookup to get the GUID? Any advice is much appreciated.

the link shows how to fetch information from the active directory and when the information is fetched how it has to be retrieved
http://weblogs.asp.net/jpinquie/archive/2008/02/06/how-to-get-domain-user-information-from-active-directory-in-c.aspx

once the information has been brought then you can use SID to retrieve the GUID
